Bullyproof / Anti-Bullying Self Defense

Helping young ones to build confidence and self-esteem.

PRIVATE SELF-DEFENSE COACHING FOR AGES 8+, TEENS & YOUNG ADULTS

Confidence. Awareness. Discipline. Real-World Skills.

I’ve been training kids, teens, and young adults since 2016, helping them become more confident, aware, physically capable, and prepared to protect themselves when it truly matters. This isn't about turning every child into a fighter or competitor. They don't have to compete. They need to be prepared. My goal is to give young people a practical skillset they can carry with them through middle school, high school, college, and eventually into adulthood. They learn when to walk away, how to communicate with confidence, how to recognize trouble early—and what to do physically when avoiding a situation is no longer an option.

MORE THAN LEARNING HOW TO FIGHT

A child who knows techniques but freezes under pressure isn't truly prepared. That's why my coaching goes beyond punches, kicks, and self-defense moves.

We work on:

*Confidence & self-esteem — becoming more comfortable standing up for themselves.

*Awareness — recognizing potentially dangerous situations before they escalate.

*Verbal assertiveness — learning to communicate clearly, set boundaries, and deter bullying when possible.

*Mental preparation — staying composed and making better decisions under pressure.

*Physical fitness — improving strength, coordination, balance, conditioning, and athletic ability.

*Real-world self-defense — learning practical techniques for situations they could realistically encounter.

*Discipline & respect — understanding that knowing how to fight doesn't mean looking for one.

The first goal is always to avoid unnecessary physical confrontation. But if they cannot safely walk away and must protect themselves, I want them to have the confidence and skills to respond.

FROM “I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO”   TO   “I KNOW I CAN HANDLE MYSELF.”

This is one of the biggest differences I want parents to see in their child.

BEFORE TRAINING

Unsure how to react

Low confidence

Freezes under pressure

Doesn't recognize warning signs

Doesn't know how to physically respond

May be afraid to stand up for themselves

AFTER BUILDING THE SKILLSET

More confident and assertive

Better awareness of their surroundings

Understands boundaries and prevention

Knows how to protect their personal space

Has practiced realistic situations

Better physical coordination and conditioning

Knows when to walk away—and when they may need to defend themselves

The goal isn't to create aggression. It's to create capability.

WHAT WILL THEY LEARN?

I don't teach from just one martial art. My coaching combines practical elements from my years of training and competing in boxing, kickboxing, Muay Thai, wrestling, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, judo, Krav Maga, and other martial arts.

Depending on the student's age, experience, and needs, training can include striking fundamentals, defensive movement, distance management, escapes from grabs and holds, takedown awareness, ground survival, getting safely back to their feet, situational awareness, verbal boundaries, and realistic scenario training.

Everything is taught progressively and appropriately for the student's age and ability.

WHY PRIVATE COACHING?

PERSONAL ATTENTION.  FASTER DEVELOPMENT.  REAL CONFIDENCE.

In a large class, every student follows roughly the same lesson. Private coaching allows me to focus specifically on your child—their personality, confidence level, physical abilities, weaknesses, strengths, and the situations they may actually be dealing with. If they're shy, we work on confidence and assertiveness.

If they're athletic, I can challenge them physically. If they're struggling with a particular situation, we can spend more time preparing for it. If they're already experienced in martial arts, we can build on what they know.

The training adapts to the student—not the other way around.

BUILT FOR REAL LIFE — NOT JUST THE TRAINING ROOM

Your child may never compete in a martial arts tournament or step into a ring. That's completely fine. The real win is years from now when they're walking through a school hallway, going to college, traveling, starting a career, or simply living independently—and they still have the awareness, confidence, physical ability, and self-defense foundation they developed through training. Medals eventually sit on a shelf.

A skillset can stay with them for life.
